The day has come: Facebook has announced the launch of Instagram Video.
But before we get to Instagram Video, take a look at what Vine did when #InstagramVideo was trending on Twitter:

Anyway, let’s get back to Instagram Video. Essentially, and for those of you who have used the Vine App up until now, using Instagram Video is also quite straight forward; the main difference between the two is that you get 15 seconds for a recording as opposed to Vine’s 6. I believe the longer duration is far better. My personal experience with Vine is making less than a handful of videos, but I am confident that I will be creating much more content now using Instagram.
A small team at Instagram were working on this new feature called ‘video’ and this is what they put together as an introduction for us: http://instagram.com/p/aye8bQBQTx/ (I can’t embed the video on Blog because the feature is not available yet).
Here is their official video ad:
You can also see my first Instagram Video here now – I think it’s great!
My suggestions to you guys are as follows: begin using Instagram OR Vine for your business because animation is an excellent way to give insights into your brand. By displaying yourselves in this way, you give that something extra to your followers and in return, they get to know you that much more. So even if you happen to be strolling around Finsbury Park in North London for example, just record a short video using your mobile device and wish your followers a good weekend, share a stunning view, offer interesting/new information about your products or services, and generally engage your audience! 🙂
So, now that you have hopefully decided to implement this new feature to help develop your brand, how will you be using it? Or are you actually using Instagram already? Not yet? Let me know what your thoughts are on this new feature below or on my twitter.
