Our Favourite Viral Campaigns 2014 (so far)

I thought of sharing my favourite top 10 campaigns so far. What I love in an ad is authenticity and inspiration. Some of this campaigns are simply amazing, it’s a no brainer why they went viral. I was inspired by AdWeek article with some campaigns.

10. Save the Children: Most Shocking Second a Day Video

9. Nike Football: The Last Game

8. Thai Life Insurance: Unsung Hero

7. Nike Football: Winner Stays

6. Budweiser: Puppy Love

I love this ad, not just because I own a dog (Chanel) but because it evokes emotions. It was hard placing it at number 6.

5. 20th Century Fox: Devil Baby Attack

4. Gum with benefits

This campaign might not went viral, but I love the creativity in it, something different, something new to give influencers to talk about.

Now it’s very hard for me to decide… Who is number 1. AdWeek article mentioned that Shakira’s La La La (Brazil 2014) ft Carlinhos Brown is number 1 with 4,546,532 shares. In terms of branding and marketing I don’t find it relevant to show it to you. It’s a music video. So here we go…

3. Wren: First Kiss

2. Look Up

1. World’s Toughest Job – #worldtoughestjob

It was hard deciding, but the only reason that I added #WorldsToughestJob first is because it had a branding message in the end. What we all can learn is that they inspired us, they evoked our emotions, made us cry, and then said ‘you might want to make her a card’. They didn’t say buy me or some other cheesy message.

All successful campaigns have some things in common, emotions play a big part.
